The training courses for journalism students, organized by the Lebanese University in partnership with Al Jazeera Qatar, kicked off at the Faculty of Information – Branch 1, under the patronage and in the presence of President Bassam Badran.
The launch ceremony was attended by the Director General of the Ministry of Information, Dr. Hassan Falah, the President of the Lebanese Journalists’ Syndicate, Joseph Kossaifi, the Dean of the Faculty of Information, Dr. Jocelyne Nader, the Director of Branch 1, Dr. Rami Najm, the Director of Branch 2, Dr. Nisrine Zammar, Director of Initiatives at Al Jazeera Media Institute, Montaser Merhi, Coordinator of Al Jazeera Media Institute Ambassadors Initiative, Youssef Awad, Director of Research at the Faculty of Information, Dr. Wafa Abou Chakra, in addition to a number of Al Jazeera journalists and trainers and a group of students.
