English language students at the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences – Branch 1 celebrated the legacy of poet Dr. Jawdat Haydar, organized by Dr. Yousra Sabra and attended by the poet’s daughter, Ms. Shahina Oseiran.
During the celebration, students presented a series of activities on Haydar’s poetry, including poetry recitation, linguistic, literary and rhetorical analysis, in-depth understanding of his identity and belonging, and rewriting his poetry in Old English.
The activity was supervised by professors from the faculty’s English department and concluded with the distribution of certificates and medals to the students.
