The Faculty of Pedagogy (FP) – Branch 2 organized an intellectual seminar on the book “On Identity, the State, and Living Together: Papers, Discussions, and Conclusions” by Dr. Amin Elias, attended by a select group of academics and researchers.
The seminar began with a welcome speech by the director of the branch, Dr. Scarlett Sarraf, who emphasized the importance of deepening the academic debate on crucial national issues. It was moderated by Dr. Fadi Tawa, head of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities at the faculty.
Afterwards, Dr. Mona Al Bacha, Director of the Faculty of Law, Political Science, and Administrative Sciences – Branch 2, gave a presentation focusing on the organic relationship between culture and identity, noting that the mismanagement of the 1943 Charter and the pursuit of compromises instead of building common ground contributed to the weakening of the unifying identity.
