The Faculty of Public Health (FPH)/MOHAR Laboratory concluded the third edition of the Brain Week conference entitled “The Brain, the Body and Consciousness,” which was organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FMS) and the Doctoral School of Science & Technology (DSST), under the patronage of President Bassam Badran.
The conference featured a scientific presentation by the conference chair, Dr. Ahmad Al-Rifai Siraj, on the research vision of the MOHAR (Motor System, Handicap and Rehabilitation) Laboratory, which focused on integrating modern technology with physical therapy through four axes:
– Developing manual techniques for wheelchair users
– Using motor imagery and action monitoring in rehabilitation
– Employing artificial intelligence to detect motor and mental fatigue
– Studying the effect of mental arithmetic on motor control
